...Being Treated Like Family

Today, my husband and my kids are spending the day with my family in Athens to celebrate Thanksgiving. I am still at home with my bum knee. Most spouses would not feel comfortable spending time on their own with their in-laws. My husband and I don't have that problem.

Danny's family has always treated me like one of their own. Whenever I need something they are there to help and I have done many things with them on my own without Danny. My family has always treated Danny the same way. My husband has been to family reunions without me there and he never once complained about it or acted as if he felt uncomfortable doing it.

I love the fact that we have this kind of relationship. Sure there are times when our in-laws annoy us just like everybody else. But I am thankful that almost 100% of the time we have a great relationship and treat each other like family.
