...Weird Problems

Day 19
I am very lucky. My kids don't give me behavior problems at school and so I rarely get a note from the teacher or have to have a teacher conference. So today when I got to work and I had an email from my daughter's teacher I was a little taken aback! My daughter is your perfect A student. She is also an anxiety nightmare. The teacher wanted me to come talk to her when I got a chance.

I was nervous all morning. Finally when I was able to meet with her it turned out to be something so random I laughed. Apparently Mindy is breaking pencils. Not in frustration and not breaking them in half but bearing down on her paper so hard that the lead is snapping. The teacher said that she had already gone through 15 pencils this morning. This has been a small problem all year but now it is starting to get worse. She isn't able to finish her work because she has to get up and get a new pencil or sharpen one.

Not exactly sure what we are going to do to fix it yet but I am thankful that my kids only have weird problems to fix instead of really serious problems.
